Fishing at Dead Horse Ranch

Yesterday I had the opportunity to fish at Dead Horse Ranch with Prescott's Fly Caster's Club. It was a beautiful day not to mention plenty of fishing action.

The Arizona Department Game and Fish have been stocking the lagoons every couple of weeks so there was plenty of trout in the lakes. Spin fishers had great success catching trout using worms and powerbait.

Fly fishers also had a lot of success catching trout using green woolly buggers and nymphs. One angler had huge success fishing a Copper John.

Dead Horse Ranch is a great place to take the whole family and the fishing ain't bad either.
